Buttercup's Story...
Hi- I'm Buttercup! I am approx. ___ months old (April 2013) and am very sweet. I am now neutered, vaccinated, FeLv tested (negative) and housetrained/litter-box trained. I have also been treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms. I do well with other cats and dogs. I prefer a calm home, one where I can be petted, sit on your lap and be loved. I am very gentle and sweet. I am a long hair orange boy and I am very lucky! I was living near an apt. complex by a highway and being shot at by the residents with bb's and chased/kicked- I was very scared. Thankfully I was rescued and now I am happy, healthy and just waiting to be adopted into a forever home to call my very own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttercup, a Xenia Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
