My story

GOT LOVE IF YOU WANT IT!

Hi! I am Buddy, the pit bull with the heart of gold. I am about 6-8 months old, neutered, and ready to be part of a loving family. I was abandoned, but am remarkably well-socialized and love to play with other dogs at the dog park (and I know when to back down when they don’t want to play anymore). I really like cats, too…but they don’t always like to play with me. I can sit and am learning “down”, and sleep quite peacefully in a crate. Especially after I exercise…and I need a lot of exercise, because I have a lot of energy! I am a puppy, after all.

My foster family thinks that I probably didn’t live with other dogs because I am still learning the rules around here (the older dogs are showing me the ropes). I like kids, but would do best in a house with older children who would both play with and discipline me. I also need a lot of stimulation because I am very, very smart. I love puzzle toys and playing tug of war. I need to know my boundaries, so if you don’t want me to cuddle next to you on the couch, you need to let me know right away…otherwise you’ll find me snuggling with you in bed! I don’t like to be left alone, so an owner with an active lifestyle and a willingness to let me tag along would be my dream come true.
