Tracks's Story...
Tracks is an absolutely gorgeous young cat (about 1.5 years old), with soft buff-colored fur and a big puffy tail. You would never guess by looking at him today that this poor guy spent 7 months living underground on the LI Railroad tracks in Atlantic Terminal. Nobody knows how he got there -- on a train, through a tunnel, or cruelly abandoned by somebody. He scrounged for food on the tracks and though he would come up on the train platforms to take food offered by people in the station, he would not come close enough to be touched. An Infinite Hope volunteer trapped him and brought him into foster care. When he left the railroad station to start his new life, a group of LIRR employees who had looked out for him gathered to wish him well. At first Tracks was nervous about being back in a home but now once he knows you he comes up and rubs against your ankles to ask for affection, purring like crazy. He gets more comfortable every day and is looking forward to spending the rest of his kitty days above ground, in the safety and comfort of a loving home. He is currently living in a foster home with other cats and would be happy to have cat friends in his forever home, as well. Tracks is neutered, negative for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tracks, a Brooklyn Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
