Dovie's Story...
My name is Dovie, which rhymes with lovey. I am very much a lover. I am grey and white with short hair.I have some siamese in me, because I am quite a chatter box. I like other cats, but not sure about dogs. Since my owner cannot be with me anymore, (she is in a nursing home) I need a good home with lots of love and I need a home soon. My owners family lives far away and can't take care of me well so I'm very lonely. Ive been spending a lot of time outside when Id prefer to be inside cuddled with someone. I really miss my owner so will you be my new friend? I am 7 years old and weigh 11 pounds. I am up to date on all my shots. I hope you will pick me, because I deserve a new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dovie, a Southington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Southington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
