Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Quartz, a 9 week old lab mix who currently weighs 7 pounds. Quartz and her siblings were born in a deserted mine shaft in Kentucky. Someone saw them and called a local rescue group, whose volunteers crawled through mud and water to bring the pups out. The rescue group even got a picture of their mom, who looks like a yellow lab. They were told that dad might be an Airedale. We don't know what happened to her ear and tail, but it appears they were chewed off when she was a newborn.
Quartz is a spunky little gal who is eager for human attention and affection. Her foster mom tells us that Quartz might be happiest in a home where she is the only dog. She prefers spending time with people over playing with her siblings. Although she is fine with other dogs she doesn't like to share her toys. Quartz is on her way to being crate-trained and house-trained.
Quartz looks like she may be part Airedale, but we don't know for sure what breed she is or how big she will be when fully grown. So she needs to be adopted by someone willing to take pot-luck in terms of her breed and size. Since she's so young, Quartz needs a family where someone is home part or all day to finish her potty-training as well as keep her exercised and socialized.
Quartz' adoption fee of $335 includes: vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, flea & tick preventative, deworming, microchip and spay.
