Elton's Story...
Meet Elton!
Elton is a 7 year old guy with a lot of living left to do! He's neutered and current on vaccines.
Unfortunately, Elton is FIV positive. Because of it, he will need to be an inside ONLY pet and can not be around any other kitties.
He loves everyone he meets, including dogs. He wants nothing more than to be held and occasionally nibble on your ear. He only uses his claws on his scratching post and can not be declawed.
Looking for a gray bundle of joy? Consider adopting Elton!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elton, a Birmingham Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Birmingham, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Birmingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Birmingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Birmingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Birmingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
