Rita's Story...
This is Rita ! She is about 4 years old and 55lbs. She is Spayed, Chipped, Potty - Crate and Leash Trained. Rita has a long sad history. My son found her as a puppy 3 years ago. As he had 2 dogs already he actually gave her to a coworker. Fate would bring her back to us as Rita was found last December emaciated and dirty in SE Portland. The microchip had thankfully never been changed and my son was called! Rita has been living with me in Portland while we got her healthy. We have gotten her UTD on all shots and back to a normal weight. She is a really sweet girl who loves to chew on her Kong and chase the ball at the dog park. Belly rubs are as good as riding in the car with her head out the window. She is currently living with a dog and a cat. She is good with older pet savvy children and is very polite. She is looking for her forever home. If you are interested please email Stacey@gseor.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rita, a Yamhill American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Yamhill, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Yamhill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yamhill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yamhill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yamhill paves the way for another one to be saved.
