My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS BREEZY....and when we first saw her, her gorgeous golden eyes and cream and golden coat, even though it was matted to the bone, reminded us of a breezy day. This 2.5-3 yr old, 18 lb, Lhasa Apso....we came to find out, had not had a breezy life. Poor girl had seriously infected ears and to even touch them, she let out a blood curdling scream!! In her very short life, Breezy had not only been neglected but we fear she was also abused. Cut to: one week later. Breezy's ears are much better....she jumps up and down to greet me....gives me sweet, adoring kisses and is getting very bonded. While I'd like to think I'm her favorite thing...when I introduced her to toys....it was like Disneyland for dogs! OMG....she is a toy maven!! Just see for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYJnSCj5oVo. In June, 2012, we thought we had placed her in her forever home, but we were wrong. It seems Breezy doesn't like children and the family combined households including a 3 yr old (we never felt she was good with young kids). So Breezy is back at LHH and a trainer will be evaluating her behavior, which is very different than it was here :( One thing we know is she can be bossy and willful, so her guardians need to understand the breed and work with her. She really is a wonderful dog...can be a little moody though :) Breezy knows how to play fetch and bring the toy back to you!!! For the first time in her life....she was getting to be a dog - a loved dog! We're sad that she is getting shuffled around again. She loves to go for walks and surprisingly enough, she seems to be potty trained (but no guarantees). She loves the grass, loves to romp and play and a yard AND walks should definitely be in her future. She is quiet.....we're thinking that she should be in a more mature home (not senior) where she gets exercised and a lot of attention! As long as Breezy has toys, she is a happy girl. She longs to have a human who will love her unconditionally and have some patience with her....she has come a long way and will only get better with time. She is not aggressive, but has some fearful tendencies that she is overcoming. She really is a wonderful little girl who deserves a wonderful home....with you perhaps?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Most Sundays, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Westfield Century City Mall from 12p-4pm behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros. Park in the Orange Section in the parking structure and come up the escallator and follow the signage. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
