Minnie's Story...
Ooh! Oh my! I didn't see you sneak up on me! I'm Minnie, nice to meet you! I'm a very shy but sweet lady whose estimated birthdate is December, 2007. I originally made my way to Happily Ever After in May, 2008, when I was wandering around Marion, homeless. HEA took me in, spruced me up, gave me some love, and I found myself in a loving home in no time! Unfortunately, my home joined with another home and they had to return me to HEA in August, 2012. It's true, I am quite timid, but the volunteers here have been working tirelessly with me to gain my trust! I've lived with other dogs my whole life, and it really helps me to see how they act around people so that I can follow their lead! (I even have a boyfriend here: Sammy! Whatta hunk!) If you think that you have the right amount of patience to help this lovely lady emerge from her shy shell, and you have the right canine at home to be my partner, then I hope that you might consider giving me a try! Love, Minnie

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Marion Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Marion, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
