Rio's Story...
Look at me: I am a beautiful male Bengal mix with a wonderful temperament, a luxurious coat and beautiful green eyes. I spend most of the day napping but do like affection. When I want some attention, I will talk to you and tap you with my paw. I drool when I am happy which is a Bengal trait! I am a fastidious groomer after I eat my favorite Fancy Feast (and I do let you know when it is time to eat). I am also very good about using a scratching post.
Being a gentle and calm guy, I would do well in a home as the only cat although I have been around other cats and am ok with them if they do not “pester” me. I have lived around dogs also. However, at this point in life, I would just enjoy having somebody to love me and take good care of me and Yes, have some "conversations" with!. My edob is 3/07.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rio, a Houston Bengal cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bengal for sale in Houston, or seeking a Bengal cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bengal breeders who help with Bengal rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
