Maxie's Story...
Maxie spent the first year of her life very uncomfortable. When she came to rescue, she had scratched herself raw and was missing most of her fur including on her face; as a result, Maxie was very stressed from all the discomfort. A brief protocol of Prednisone and Cephalexin, with weekly medicated baths, and this charming fuzzball feels like a new woman! Her fur is almost all grown in, the scratching is a thing of the past, and she is picking up weight daily. Maxie is a favorite because we have had the pleasure of seeing her transform! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxie, a Frederick Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
