Dan's Story...
Dan is a very sweet, shy, gentle and quiet 2-3 year old male Beagle/Hound mix. He is a gorgeous black and chocolate color and is just a bit larger than an average Beagle. Dan was originally found as a stray with his sister Fran, who has since been adopted. He is a little timid at first, but warms up quickly. All he wants to do is love and is just a nice, easy-going and gentle dog. He'll fit in well with almost any home. Dan is new to our rescue and we'll update his profile, once we get to know him a little better. If interested in meeting Dan, please email for more info or an application!

• Dan's adoption donation is $250. This donation helps to cover his neuter, initial vaccines, initial worming and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Dan from euthanasia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dan, a Chicago Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
