My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi- I'm Abby! I am approx. 2 - 3 years young and am now spayed, vaccinated, FeLv tested (negative) and treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms. I am very timid but incredibly sweet and get along well with other cats and dogs too. I do prefer a very calm home as I like to sit with you, and to be petted-- that's when I start purring! I do not like to be chased by small children, that scares me- and I really need a calm home, that would be the best fit for me. But I love to be affectionate and kind once I know I am safe and all is quiet. I had a very tough start in life. I was trying to survive as a stray near a busy apt. complex- not only was it right next to a highway, but the residents were shooting at me with bb's and chasing and kicking me. I was hungry and scared and wasn't sure if I could ever trust anyone again. But thanks to A4A, my life was saved! Now I am just waiting to find a calm, loving, forever home to call my own. I am friendly and I love to have my chin and behind my ears scratched and when you pet me I get so happy I roll over and show my belly as I purr!
