What can I say about Hero ???? We got a call that another rescuer was having a health crisis and needed help , several rescues went to split the dogs up and house them while she was in the hospital. We all got a HUGE shock...there were 62 dogs housed in one house, the conditions were filthy, all dogs were kept in kennels 24/7, they ate and slept in their own waste and were medically neglected. We took Hero, he was the largest dog in the house and in medical need.
We took Hero to the vet where we were told he had open, chronic ulcers on his eyes, and a skin infection that ravaged his whole body, ear and eye infections and the list went on.....
So we have cleared up the skin infection, got him neutered and he has now recovered from his eye surgery. Hero is HW NEGATIVE, so we lucked out there. He is a BIG, Tall 110 lb goofy-gus ! He loves attention , is full of life and love, he is only 2.5 yrs old and still has a lot of puppy energy. This boy was never rescues ..he was hoarded and he deserves a real home and family that will love him forever.
Now that he is feeling better he LOVES to play with his toys !! He is interested in cats, but not in the bad way and he loves my 4 yr old niece ! HE really wants to play with the other dogs but we are taking that slow since her really never had any interaction...he is a little excitable.
