Cara's Story...
My name is Cara and I am two -three years old, about 17kg and 18 inches or so at the shoulder. I am a Corgi/Collie Cross. I was a stray up north, but I was lucky because someone fed me. My foster mom has been absolutely amazed with me! I haven't had a single accident. She says that's because I'm so smart. She also says I'm the best behaved dog she's ever met! I am very, very, quiet, and I haven't chewed or damaged anything. I am very obedient, but when I am not sure about something I sit down and don't want to move, with time I am gaining confidence with my surroundings and with living in a house. I like things nice and quiet right now, I'd like to be the center of attention. New Hope and my foster mom wonder if some not very nice things happen to me. I love the snow and love to burrow my nose in it and roll in it. I also love tummy rubs, and i roll on my side lots in hope that i get one! I do best with my foster mom and her daughter and my foster mom thinks I would be most comfortable in a quiet loving home without other pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cara, a Saskatoon Welsh Corgi/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Welsh Corgi/Collie for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Welsh Corgi/Collie dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Welsh Corgi/Collie breeders who help with Welsh Corgi/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
