Update: I have been in rescue for a while now, and Little Paws 4 U has decided to reduce my fee. I am shy when meeting new people, and stay back behind Judy, my foster mommy. In the hopes of finding me a home, my fee has been reduced to 300. Original write-up: There we were....born under a porch in Louisiana. We only knew our momma was very stressed out and was trying to find food for us to eat. We had fleas and worms and we really needed help! Luckily, that nice man who lived in the house crawled under the porch and got us out. He took us to the shelter, but could not catch our mother... The shelter staff found a really great rescue, who vetted us, cared for us, and transported us to a licensed rescue in Rhode Island. We are here now, waiting for a home. Our birth date is estimated to be 12/30/12. I am one of the smallest of my siblings....I love laps and love to play. I can be a bit shy at first, but remember, I have been through a lot in my young life. The man who saw my mother estimated her to be around 10 pounds....so sadly, she disappeared and we did not see her again. My mix? I do look some like a Rat Terrier but I am smaller...like a Chihuahua...so! I am sweet and elegant (not sure what that means). I would love a family which is around in the day. Older, respectful children (only!) are fine, as are other, non-aggressive dogs. My reduced fee of 300. covers transport to RI, all vetting to date, a Health Certificate from Louisiana, an exam by a RI vet and I have a collar and blanket as well.
