Newton's Story...
Newton is an adorable 2 yr old female shih tzu who is looking for his forever home. He is a very sweet, shy guy who warms up quick and likes to be held like a baby and cuddle with his people. He is housetrained, gets along well with other dogs and does well riding in the car. This quiet, handsome boy would love a lap to snuggle up next to...maybe you could be the one for him??

Newton is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His adoption donation is only $225.00 and that includes the microchip registration fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Newton, a Urbana Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Urbana, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Urbana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Urbana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Urbana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Urbana paves the way for another one to be saved.
