Hawk's Story...
Hi my name is Hawk! I am a rare solid black GSD who has had it a bit rough in my younger life. I was bought and my owner could not take proper care of me so I was left outside for most of my life on a tether not having much socialization or interaction with people or other dogs.

That being said I am a friend to everyone; I am an active boy looking for another dog as a playmate or a very active family. I am extremely smart as I learned the dog door in less than 5 minutes and have never had an accident in the house.

Speaking on that I have never had to be crated, when my foster dad leaves, I am very well behaved and do not tear anything up. I do know sit, down and kind of know stay. I am really building up my confidence at my foster Dad's house and getting more confident and affectionate

So if you have another playful dog who you are looking for a companion or you are active and looking for a running partner I am your man! I promise you will get tons of compliments when people see you walking with me. If you think I am the dog for you please contact my foster dad as I would love to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hawk, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
