Duke's Story...
Duke is a handsome mix who weighs in at 55 pounds. He has the look of a Shepherd, Husky and Rottweiler mix but we will never know for sure because he was rescued from a pound. Since coming into foster care, Duke has shown us that he is clean in the house and good with the other dogs there. He has a friendly personality and enjoys going in the car. According to the vet, he is around 2 years of age. Duke is no couch potato - he is an active guy who would appreciate an active caregiver. A super dog who will make someone an awesome lifetime companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Rigaud German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
