Ernie's Story...
Ernie is a very handsome neutered five-year-old cattle dog mix. Weighing in at approx. 58 pounds, Ernie is strong, healthy, well-trained, and sports a beautiful white coat with brownish-red accents. Ernie is house broken, excellent with adults, children, dogs, and cats. He is free with his kisses, and his eyes are full of kindness, serenity, and wisdom. Ernie is a little sad because he doesn’t understand why he can’t go home. Unfortunately, his owner - who had Ernie since he was a pup - ran into hard times and can no longer care for him. Ernie will make that special someone a truly wonderful companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernie, a Loudonville Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Loudonville, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Loudonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loudonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loudonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loudonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
