Blake Emmert Neely's Story...
Blake is a 6-7 yo neutered male lab mix who was surrendered to York SPCA in November as a cruelty case after being abandoned with another dog in a foreclosed home. Paws n'Time pulled Blaze in April 2013 and he is currently living in a foster home with two cats. He appears to do well with cats and dogs, though he gets very excited when meeting new dogs and being able to play. He knows "sit" and is learning leash manners. Blaze is a snuggler, does well in the car and seems to want to please his people. He is an active and playful adult dog. Please consider giving him a forever home and a new lease on life.
We require an application to be completed prior to meeting our foster animals. All of our dogs are fostered within private homes, so visitations are scheduled. Standard adoption fee is $250

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blake Emmert Neely, a Lancaster Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
