My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sunshine or Sunny is an 8 year old lesser sulfur crested cockatoo whose one and only owner passed away unexpectedly. When she came into rescue she had a severe infection and a sick liver. Luckily, with great vet care and her resilient spirit (and thanks to The Parrot Posse and all of you who donated to her extensive health care) she is once again healthy and happy. Her liver is still mildly compromised and she has been prescribed a daily dose of milk thistle for a year. This will ensure she has a long life ahead of her. Sunny is a loving and spirited bird that will blow kisses to get your attention. She loves snuggles and like any cockatoo, is full of mischief. While she gravitates towards men, she is quite happy to take attention from women as well. She was raised with a dog and is fostered in a home with dogs. Sunny is full of life and is an exceptional companion just waiting for a home as perfect as she is sweet!
