Teddy's Story...
"Hello, friends! My name is TEDDY, and I'm a wonderful Miniature Poodle who is looking for a new home. I'm only two years old, and I sure would love to find a loving home with someone who will be my best friend. I get along great with other dogs, and I've already been house trained. While I love being around people, I'm a little shy at first. Once I get to know you, I'll be your devoted buddy. I'd probably do well in a home where the kids are older and considerate of me, and I'd make an excellent pet in a house or an apartment. I have moderate exercise needs, so I'd love a daily walk with you so we could explore the world together. I walk very nicely on the leash, too. Please come to the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can get better acquainted in the shelter's lovely play yard. Our friendly shelter staff would love to introduce us to one another. I'll be watching for you, so please hurry down soon. Love, Teddy" Kennel #62

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a El Cajon Miniature Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Poodle for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Miniature Poodle dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Poodle breeders who help with Miniature Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
