Licorish's Story...
Licorish is one of Delilah's kittens. They were found outside around an abandoned house with a lot of chained dogs. A wonderful person was going out to feed the abandoned dogs and saw that one of Delilah's kittens were killed by one of the dogs. He called FUR and explained the situation, caught Licorish, her mom, and the other three babies, then brought them to us. They all need loving homes that will take care of her and will never allow anything like this to happen again. Could you be that home for her? Please visit her at Petsmart and you will see that she is your perfect cat. Her adoption fee is $85. She has had all of her shots, been tested for Feline Leuk/FIV and has tested negative for both, and has been spayed.

Available by approved F.U.R. application and an adoption donation.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
Feline Urgent Rescue (F.U.R.) of the Upstate is an all volunteer, non-profit organization founded upon the belief that the problem of homeless cats is not a problem for humans caused by cats, but a problem for cats caused by humans. Domestic cats living on their own outdoors, unlike native wildlife such as opossums and squirrels, are not able to live out their normal lifespans without human help. Homeless cats and their wild offspring are rarely able to support themselves by hunting, particularly in areas developed by humans, in which the amount of mice and other small animals available for cats to hunt is limited.

The efforts of F.U.R. of the Upstate are expensive and financed mostly from the limited personal resources of the F.U.R. of the Upstate volunteers. Therefore, F.U.R. of the Upstate welcomes donations which are used exclusively for the benefit of homeless felines.

Thank you, in advance, for your support in helping us to fulfill our mission of Saving Precious Lives By Helping Homeless Cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Licorish, a Greenville Bombay cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bombay for sale in Greenville, or seeking a Bombay cat from a breeder in Greenville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bombay breeders who help with Bombay rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenville paves the way for another one to be saved.
