Grace's Story...
Grace is certainly full of grace, as well as curiosity, a loving spirit, and a desire to work. Only around 10 months old and about 45 pounds, if you love German Shepherd Dogs you need to meet her to appreciate her!

Grace was brought in as a stray to a shelter, obviously too skinny and with evidence of a collar or chain that had been on her neck too tightly for a long time. Even with the neglect she had gone through, Grace still loves people and wants to be with them.

Of course, being a dog of great intelligence, she wants a job. Walking in the yard? She'll go ahead and make sure the path is safe. Sitting in a chair? She'll take the first watch! Grace wants to be with her people and accomplishing important things with them.

Grace is young and still gets a little off focus when there is something more interesting to look at or listen to. However, her strongest desire is to make her person happy. She does great on leash and in a crate as well. She absolutely loves other dogs, big and small, but would probably chase a cat for the sport of it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grace, a Oakley German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Oakley, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Oakley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakley paves the way for another one to be saved.
