Collier's Story...
Collier is a 14 pound Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix. He is about one year old. He is still quite puppy so he chews everything. He would benefit from obedience training which would be good bonding time for him and his new human parent. He is working on house-training with still a ways to go. He loves to cuddle. He plays well with toys and other dogs. He weighs 16 pounds. He does dart out of open doors, so he must be watched as family and friends come and go. He is absolutely adorable.
Fence/enclosed patio required for most dogs. We check your vet reference and fence. Dogs are current on vaccinations, HW negative, micro chipped, dental if needed and spayed/neutered. Email lldogrescue@yahoo.com for quickest response.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Collier, a Shawnee Mission Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in Shawnee Mission, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Shawnee Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shawnee Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shawnee Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shawnee Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
