Jerry's Story...
Jerry is a 1-2 year old male golden/lab mix rescued from a high kill shelter when his time was up. We visited the shelter to pull another dog, and came home with a few extras! Jerry was one of those extras. His goofy and fun loving personality can put anyone in a great mood. Jerry loves people, and is still working on his manners. Still a puppy at heart, Jerry needs a home that will put him through a puppy class or two, but this smart and driven boy promises not to disappoint!
Jerry is great with cats and other dogs. He likes children however can be a little much with his jumping (he's just so excited he wants to meet everyone eye to eye!), he has bundles of energy and loves to play. Jerry is working on crate training and housebreaking. He is neutered, HW neg, UTD on all shots, fully vetted, and chipped. Jerry's adoption fee is $230 to help up save other doggies in need!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Lancaster Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
