Hershey's Story...
Hershey is a 14 week old Labrador Retriever puppy that came from a high kill shelter. Hershey is a very sweet girl who loves to give kisses and sleep in your lap. She is working on leash manners and crate training but being from a high kill shelter she is a little behind on these things and needs a patient adopter that will commit to puppy classes and starting her off right.
She has been quarantined (for parvo), vaccinated, spayed, and now needs her forever home! She has been around cats, dogs, and people. Hershey's adoption fee is $230 to help cover her medical bills.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hershey, a Lancaster Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
