My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beagle, female, 9 years, ~20 lbs. This spunky beagle girl's caregivers have nicknamed her The Queen! Zoey Lynn is an adorable, quirky dog is a survivor who is hoping to meet a special person who can love and care for her in a quiet home where she can be the only pet. Before she came to Peppertree, Zoey Lynn lived in significant neglect and pain due to a badly healed injury to a hind leg that required its eventual amputation, however this girl epitomizes resilience. She has no trouble getting around on 3 legs but because of the past chronic pain she endured, has learned that by defensively barking at other dogs, she can keep them away and protect herself from harm. Zoey Lynn loves people and their affection. She loves to go for walks and rides nicely in a car. She is an independent girl who prefers not to be picked up, and though she can do stairs, it would probably be best if her new home doesn't have too many of them. If you are the type of person who can honor Zoey Lynn's well developed character and preferences, she will reward you with her beautiful companionship and Beagle charm. Peppertree will cover the cost of Zoey Lynn's veterinary care and medications for life. She is given a joint support supplement and is being treated for a chronic ear infection, but is otherwise playful and energetic. ZL has learned to play fetch and is getting better at releasing toys when asked. She is so happy spring has arrived and she can return to long walks in the park!
