ZOEY LYNN - Beagle, female, 8 years, ~20 lbs. Zoey Lynn was suffering from an old injury in a hind leg that could not be repaired, so Peppertree followed the advice of an orthopedic vet and had the leg amputated. She has recovered very well from the amputation, and since she wasn't able to use the injured leg before, she does just fine getting around without it. She just loves to go for a walk and has very good leash manners. Her spirits are so much better now that she is no longer in constant pain, and Zoey Lynn is ready to find her forever home! She is sweet and loving, housebroken and crate trained. She will let you know when she needs to go out. We would love to see her in a home with no other pets because she is not good with cats, and she doesn't like to share her people's time and attention with other dogs. Zoey Lynn seems to like children, but she would be happiest in a quiet home with only older ones because she has been through a lot recently. Being 3-legged, she can't do stairs, so a ranch-style home would be ideal for her, though she can hop up a step or two to go in and out. Zoey Lynn is a happy girl who deserves a loving family and a warm, comfy bed for the rest of her days. Her adoption fee has been sponsored.. Rescue Group Info...
The primary purpose of Peppertree is to help find homes for dogs in need who represent the character and temperament commonly associated with Golden Retrievers friendliness, intelligence and a peaceful, loving nature. We are volunteers who hold many different jobs in "real" life teachers, lawyers, homemakers, government workers, retirees. We are not "professionals" in animal behavior or training or health, although we have -- and use -- contacts with those who are.
Peppertree holds adoption clinics at various locations in the Capital District. To check the schedule and location of clinics, please visit www.peppertree.org/clinics.php.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, the first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption application. You may apply online at www.peppertree.org/adoptinfo.php or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Our website outlines the process to adopt any of our dogs.
