Here is what his foster family had to say:
Tieryon, whom we call Tyro, is a very happy, energetic and playful pup. He enjoys playing catch, tug of war with his rope and chewing on his stuffed toys and treats. Tyro is very friendly and playful with other dogs and people. He also tries to play with our cat but our cat wants no part of it. He does not come on the furniture and has never tried to. He is very smart and learns quickly. If you want someone to play with he is your dog.
Tyro is is very social and friendly. He is great with older kids. He does not act aggressively and is only ever being playful but he tends to get lost in the play and become over powering if you let go to far. He LOVES to play with everyone (including other dogs and cats) even if they don't want to. We sometimes have to step in and redirect him. He just thinks that everyone is his friend. He loves any type of play. Ball, ropes, chase, dog park. He loves to chew, but never on furniture and when he takes something that he shouldn't it is easy to get and he typically does not go for it again.
He only barks in play or when trying to entice to play. Otherwise he is quiet in the home. As he is a young dog he has lots of energy. He appears to be a very low shedder.
Tieryon is very intelligent and picks things up quickly. He now knows sit, come, go, and down. He will steal food if he can get it but if you tell him to leave it, he will. He is house trained and will go to the door to go out. He is crate trained and wouldn't have any problems with a crate but we don't use one. He is nearly leash trained. He is pretty good but can pull at times.
A home with kids and/or an active family would suit him well. Also someone who would continue to teach him as he seems to enjoy learning. He would enjoy a home with a backyard to play in and perhaps a few older children to toss the ball for him.
If you would like to make Tieryon part of your family, please submit an application for consideration.
