Corey's Story...
Hiya! Handsome Corey here. I was running in the cold, wet rain awhile back when a nice woman who runs another small rescue took me in. She tracked down my owners, who said they couldn’t “contain me” and “didn’t really want me back.” She took care of me for awhile, but had plenty of her own dogs, so she worked with the folks here to find a spot for me. (Of course, they didn’t know they were going to have to find emergency spots for six others that weekend! It’s busy ’round here.)

I wasn’t here for 30 minutes before I figured out how to sneak out of the backyard. Oops. But I was a good boy and ran right up to them, so now I’m in a “reinforced” yard. I love people and don’t seem to mind the other dogs, so I should be a good family dog. You’ll just need a solid fence to hold me! I am an undeniably gorgeous, young boy – probably only a year or two. I’m neutered, UTD on my shots and heartworm negative. If you want to give me a home where I won’t want to roam, I’m ready to go home with you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corey, a Conyers Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Conyers, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Conyers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conyers paves the way for another one to be saved.
