Oscar's Story...
Hello, everyone. I’m Oscar. They don’t know a lot about my past (and I can’t talk), but I was picked up as a stray at the shelter – no chip, no collar and no one claimed me. I am a friendly boy, but was so terrified there, I couldn’t stop shaking. People don’t usually like to adopt dogs who are that scared, so … enter, this rescue.

I was still a little scared here, especially when I met someone new. But they have been giving me lots of scratches and kisses to reassure me everything is going to be OK and I feel a lot better.
I am a young, easy-going boy who hasn’t even barked. I’m not your typical Jack Russell, bouncing off the walls. I do, do a little dance, but am just a naturally-mellow kind of guy. I am young, heartworm-free and UTD on my shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Conyers Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Conyers, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Conyers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conyers paves the way for another one to be saved.
