Rosemary's Story...
ROSEMARY F DSH tiger striped DOB 9-1-12

My foster family named me Rosemary becuase of my earthy coloring and golden eyes. I am a petite tiger tabby about 6 pounds born in May 2012. Despite my young age, I've already had a litter and my daughter, Sage, will be available for adoption soon! My fosters love my easy-going personality, my meow responses, and quick-learning. They are amused by my happy to see them antics as I roll over for them to pet my tummy and chirp for them. I get along really well with other felines and prefer their company to play with me or cuddle, like my friend Coconut. I'm still young so I'd love a family that will grow with me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosemary, a Port Republic Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Port Republic, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Port Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
