Daisy's Story...

Big, beautiful and absolutely breathtaking are perfect words to describe Daisy. You could add smart and soulful, too - - just one look into her gentle brown eyes and you can see the love and intelligence behind them. Beautiful Daisy was turned in to a kill shelter in Arkansas by a family who decided she was too big (didn't they realize she was a Great Dane??!!). She is now being fostered in a home with other dogs and she's such a kind spirit - - so eager to please, and loves when her people are happy! She's the typical "Velcro Dane" who wants to be around her people all the time. And make sure you're steady on your feet because she's also a leaner!! Daisy is a little over a year old and, at just about 100 pounds, is the perfect size for hugs. We are looking for an experienced Dane home where Daisy will be fully appreciated because of her size, not despite it. If you're looking for a girl who will be devoted to you for life, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting, vaccines, microchip AND spay included in her $450 adoption fee. Daisy is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $150. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Westport Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Westport, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
