My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Agnes. I spent the last three years living outside at the railway yard. It was really loud there and scary too – especially at night. Fortunately there were some really kind humans who worked there and looked out for me. They always made sure I had food and water and they kept an eye on me. They collected their pop cans and they’d recycle them and buy food for me with the money they got for their cans. One day someone noticed that my fur was getting really matted and they thought I might need to get checked out so the nice people took up a collection to pay for a visit to the vet for me. Their kindness almost made my heart burst – there really are some wonderful humans out there! Everyone then decided that it would be safest for me if I had a forever home and that is how I arrived at Katie’s Place.

The vet had to shave most of my fur off because it was so matted from living outside all that time, but I’m still really cute and my fur will grow back. And it’s what’s on the inside that matters most – right?! I’m just a little kitty but I have a big heart. I’m a bit shy because I’m still getting used to living at the shelter but when the volunteers come around I let them pet me and I lean into their hand and purr to show them how much I enjoy it. If you come to meet me I’ll try to be brave so you can pet me too – I’m really soft! After living in such a loud place with all the trains, it would be really nice to live in a quiet and calm home. Please come to see me – we’d be wonderful companions for each other. If you’ll take care of me, I’ll love you forever and ever.
