Meet Regina!  Regina is a beautiful 3 year old female mix who was rescued from a high skill shelter and ready to start a new life.  She is a very smart girl and loves to play!  Regina has a fairly calm disposition and walks nicely on a leash.  She absolutely LOVES water, whether it be swimming or playing in sprinklers/hose!  Regina is not a fan of other dogs or cats so she would be best suited as the only pet - she wants all the attention for herself!  If you are interested in meeting Regina, please contact babcock_rescue@yahoo.com for an adoption application.  Regina's adoption fee is $100.00.

Adoption fees are tax deductible donations.  Animals in our care are totally vetted, made healthy, brought current on shots, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We have a legal and binding adoption contract and we perform a home inspection. Always be sure to leave a daytime AND an evening call back number. Also, please note that we all work full time jobs and may not be able to return your calls or emails until the evening. Please be courteous of the hours you call as we all operate out of our homes. All adoptive parents must be residents of Broward County.

We reserve the right to deny any application or adoption that we do not feel is the proper fit for the dog. When there are multiple applications for a pet, we choose the home best suited for that particular pet. All applications are reviewed and if approved, a meeting between the pet and the applicant is arranged. A home visit is then scheduled to be performed before adoption.

About Allen Babcock Dog and Cat Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a no-kill - not for profit dog & cat rescue group that rescues injured, abandoned and/or abused animals (that most rescue groups would not take), and do "whatever it takes" to make them better. Once healed, we rely entirely on foster homes to nurture the animals until we find their permanent "forever" home.
We DO NOT euthanize because they are injured and their care will be costly - nor do we euthanize because the animal is too old to be adopted. We take animals that most other no-kill organizations will not take --- which makes us a TRUE no-kill organization.
We are comprised ENTIRELY of volunteers and no-one receives compensation for their time. We have no funding available to us other than donations and grants we apply for and, contrary to what many people believe -

WE DO NOT GET OUR VET SERVICES FOR FREE!

We pay - just like you do!

We are forever holding fundraising events to raise money to cover our vet bills and keep our fingers crossed with the rest!
And no matter what the vet bill was or the pedigree of the dog or cat, our adoption fees range from $135 - $200 and that includes a microchip! Cats/kittens are $75.00. Your pet donation is a tax deductible donation to you and will be applied toward the vet bill.

We CANNOT accept surrendered pets because we do not have a shelter to house them and cannot afford to pay to board them somewhere. We rely "entirely" on foster homes and have animals in foster care in Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Pompano Beach and North Ft. Lauderdale.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We are always in need of temporary or long term "animal loving" homes, and donations of dog & cat food, kitty litter, leashes, harnesses of all sizes, litter pans and carpet covered kitty condos. Please give us a call if you are interested in helping our group save lives.

Remember -- We are comprised entirely of volunteers and NO-ONE receives a salary or monetary compensation for services or time. All donations are applied to the care and well being of our animals.

Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Checks should be made payable to:

Our Adoption Process...

ADOPTING A FRIEND
Most of the animals in our care have been rescued, so we ensure their new home will be better than the last. We ask every potential adoptee to complete an adoption application. We use a legal and binding adoption contract and charge an adoption fee – and we always perform a home inspection.
