Jessica's Story...
Jessica is a very sweet young cat here at A4A. She is approx. 1-2 years young and she was rescued by A4A along with her 4 newborn kittens from a high-kill shelter within moments of being killed. Phew! She is a lucky girl and has so much love to share. She is a short-hair black cat and does well with other cats and with dogs of all sizes too. Jessica will be spayed and vaccinated prior to adoption and has been treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms. She is housetrained/litter-box trained. She will make a wonderful addition to a happy home! Will be ready for adoption June 2013

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessica, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
