Jersey's Story...
Meet Jersey!

Jersey is a 1.5-year-old Pitty mix who was previously used for breeding. She's 48 lbs and super strong. She would be OK in a home with other dogs after a proper introduction, but would be best without cats.

So far, Jersey is displaying a very sweet disposition and loves to give kisses and cuddles! She's learned to walk well on a leash with only minor reminders not to pull, but she tends to forget her leash manners when she sees a small critter like a squirrel.

Jersey LOVES children. Loves. And it would be great to see Jersey go to a house with kids as she is so respectful of them and loving toward them. Jersey waits at the door for children to exit (rather than bowling them over), she does not jump on them, and she cuddles with them and allows them to cuddle back. Jersey has no resource guarding issues (no food possession, etc.) and is a very gentle pup with her humans.

Jersey does have a bit of anxiety at the dog park with a lot of activity around her and can be guarding of her personal space with other dogs. She definitely needs to socialize with more dogs to get comfortable.

Jersey is spayed, chipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Would you like to be her new LEASH-on-life? Let us know!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jersey, a Pitt Meadows Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Pitt Meadows, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Pitt Meadows.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pitt Meadows already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pitt Meadows breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pitt Meadows paves the way for another one to be saved.
