Pia's Story...
Meet Pia:

Pia is a 2.5 month old Chi-Terrier Mix that weighs 6 pounds and was discarded along with her Mother Poppy a 1 year old Chi Mix and Father Percy a 2 year old Schnauzer Mix in a cardboard box alongside a major freeway in the Inland Empire, We at Paw Protectors Rescue agreed to take this family that become known as the Freeway Family into our Rescue.

Pia is a happy puppy, she is playful and friendly with other dogs, she does not like cats, we think she will be a good companion for kids, is puppy pad trained and would be the perfect indoor pet for anyone in any living situation. The past picture is of Pia with her Mom Poppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pia, a Oceanside Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua for sale in Oceanside, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Oceanside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oceanside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oceanside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oceanside paves the way for another one to be saved.
