Meet Harriet:

Harriet is a 10 year old Chow/Golden Mix that was discarded at a high kill shelter in Los Angeles by her owners because she got too old. Harriet weighs 45 pounds, enjoys laying in the sun in the front or back yard, short 15-20 minute walks, she is happy, playful, great with other dogs, no cats, she likes children and will let them know when she has had enough of their petting or playing with her. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harriet, a Oceanside Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever for sale in Oceanside, or seeking a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Oceanside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oceanside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oceanside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Chow Chow/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oceanside paves the way for another one to be saved.
