Drake's Story...
I was purchased from Danlea Farms unfortunately I have had a few homes since then. My last home the older Dane in the home did not like me, so that home only lasted a couple of weeks. The one before that had 5 small children and the mom said she could not deal with 5 children and a puppy. Well you get the idea!! So I was brought to Harlequin Haven so that my next home will be my forever home!

Update: Just thought you would like to see some more pictures of me! Zuri and I were playing in the yard today and Grandma took a few pictures of us. Grandma said she wanted to get pictures of me running and playing but she was too slow!! I must say having a fenced yard to play in is GREAT!!! I have never had a fenced yard to play in before and wow I sure have missed out on a lot of fun!

Drake needs a family with no small children. (HHGDR does not adopt puppies out to families with small children. Please see our FAQ http://www.hhdane.org/faq/faqmain.htm#nosmallchildren)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drake, a Bethel Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Bethel, or seeking a Great Dane puppy from a breeder in Bethel.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bethel already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bethel breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bethel paves the way for another one to be saved.
