Daniel's Story...
Hello! My name is Daniel! I am a 1yr old, male, neutered, Shiba Inu mix. I was saved from euthanasia on April 4th by The Pet Rescue Center. I had been at OC Shelter too long and my time to find a new family was up. I am not sure why I couldn’t find a new family to love me because I am always a perfect gentleman. I am quiet, loving and very smart. I am on the small side for a Shiba Inu mix, weighing in at 15lbs. I don’t mind other pets or children. I get along with most everyone I meet. The PRC has neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated me so I am ready to go as soon as you are! Come meet with me and see if I am the one!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to:
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daniel, a Mission Viejo Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
