Mia's Story...
Mia is an 8 week old german shepherd/husky mix. She was found on the side of the road hungry, dehydrated, and covered in ticks and was quickly brought in to the Paws and Hooves Rescue Foundation to recieve treatment. She will most likely be a medium-large sized dog when she grows up. Mia is up for adoption but will not be ready to go to her forever home for a few weeks. This is one tough girl who is looking for a family to call her own. She has had a rough start but is a loving and sweet little puppy. If you are interested in adopting Mia, or donating to her cause, please contact the Paws and Hooves Rescue Foundation at 918-696-5867.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Stilwell German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Stilwell, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy from a breeder in Stilwell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stilwell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stilwell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stilwell paves the way for another one to be saved.
