My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET BEBE. Such a sweet, tiny (9 pound) low-rider, spayed female dachshund. Bebe is a rare chocolate caramel dapple, with smooth coat. She is much smaller than she looks in these photos. Bebe is 23 months old and just saved from being chained outside in a too small harness. She has suffered some hair loss and her baby teeth were never pulled. It appears obvious that she ate dirt and grass from the yard where she was chained. Now she needs to be on quality dog food and salmon oil yogurt and good cookin'. She is being spayed today and having a dental along with full vetting. She is shy and we want her to go to a quiet home where she is your special princess. We suspect that she has been abused and she has suffered enough. We want her to heal, mind and body in her real forever home. Get those application Fee 395.00

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training. Can you give her a happy, carefree life that she deserves? If interested, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.odr-inc.org and email it to: jrangan@comcast.net - the adoption committee will be in touch with you within 48 hours so please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
