Smokey's Story...
Smokey is listed as a chow chow mix but he has a lot of Pom in him. He's 3 years old. This dog is ready to listen to whatever you are saying, see how attentive he is? He like many others that come into the shelter have owners that fall on hard times...and a trained, great, often housebroken dog finds himself in animal control and a possible death sentence, through no fault of his won. but that doesn't mean they dont' deserve a chance to show you how good they can be...often they prove to be the best pets ever. The shelter address: 650 John Howell Memorial Drive in Linconton. 704 736 -4215 , Open 6 days a week; M-Sat 11 to 4:30 and Thursday open until 5:30 pm. Closed Sunday. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Lincolnton Pomeranian/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Chow Chow for sale in Lincolnton, or seeking a Pomeranian/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Lincolnton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincolnton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincolnton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Chow Chow breeders who help with Pomeranian/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincolnton paves the way for another one to be saved.
