Scotch-Shepard/Hound female puppy (April 2013)

Scotch and her sister, Tequila were abandonded in a high kill rural shelter in early April, 2013
as 10-12 week old puppies. They were pretty scared but in a foster home are warming up to
life and enjoying themselves. They are now ready for a new family and await that happy day.
The adoption fee for Scotch is $275 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scotch, a Germantown Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
