Annabelle's Story...
Meet Annabelle. She is a small bundle of joy weighing in at approximately 15 lbs, and Annabelle is about 2 years old, so that means this little girl is already full-grown!

We're happy to report that Annabelle is heartworm negative and she appears to be housetrained, too! This super-sweet and cuddly canine gets along with dogs and cats, but she would be Very happy having you all to herself.

For more information about meeting or adopting Annabelle, please contact her foster mom at

All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annabelle, a Baton Rouge Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
