My story

Please note: The picture of Richie was taken while he was still at animal control.

Richie is a Black Lab/Blue Heeler/Blue Tic mix. He is approximately 2 yrs old and weighs around 48 lbs. Richie was picked up as a stray by animal control where he was facing death until he was rescued on March 20, 2013. He gets along well with all other dogs from puppies to adults ranging in size from 10 lbs up to 60 lbs or more. Richie is a little nervous during beginning introductions with some dogs, but warms up quickly. He appreciates human affection and loves being around people. Richie walks very closely with his human friends while on a leash and will sometimes walk along between his humans legs. There is no history of Richie being around children, but I'm sure he'd do well with children who appreciate and respect animals. He is neutered, up to date with vaccines and heartworm negative. Richie is being fostered by Stray Haven for another rescue. If you have an interest in adopting Richie please contact me and I'll put you in touch with the intake rescue for him.
