My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Summit! After the great Pat Summit! I am 2 years old Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever mix - and I am quite cute and petite! I am in a foster home and getting used to life inside a house. The weird noises inside a house kind freak me out but once I figure out they will not hurt me, I am ok. I follow my foster mom around because she is quite interesting and i am curious to see what she is doing. I also love my foster canine sisters - they told me not to be so scared that I was safe now. I am working on my house manners too but I am young and need some training. Before I came to Adopt A Golden Knoxville, I was found wandering around in Alabama when a big truck came up and threw me in the back. Wow - ever since then - it's been an adventure! I am bouncy and fun and love to play and run around. I am not completely trusting of humans but I do like to be petted. But if you have another social dog, that gives me more confidence so I would prefer a home with a social dog. I would prefer a calm household, with children 12 or older, so I can get used to things. I am a very healthy girl and I am ready to meet my forever home.

If interested adopting in Summit, please visit our website at .http://www.adoptagoldenknoxville.org/new_england.html. If all that looks good, please move forward and fill out an application on our Adopt A Golden page.

NOTE: Adopt A Golden Knoxville rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in your area. These dogs are fostered in private homes in East Tennessee. Therefore, it is not possible to meet the dogs and pups prior to their adoption. They are brought up north on a USDA transport
