Sylvester's Story...
Please save my life. My name is Sylvester and I'm a 3 year old extremely friendly male cat. A nice lady rescued me off the street. She took me to the vet and had me all taken care of only to find that I am Felv positive. Her landlord won't let her have a cat and no one will give me a home because the have other cats who are not Felv positive. I am a wonderful cat. I have great manners and get along with everyone including small dogs and is very gentle with children. If you have an Felv cat and can take Sylvester as a friend, please fill out a pre-adoption form and contact us ASAP. If you have no cats or have an Felv cat and will foster Sylvester so that we have time to find him a home, fill out a foster home application ASAP. Time is running out for Sylvester, please help.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvester, a Medford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
